One of the mosques located in the Medina prayer ground, it is situated at the beginning of Amidyya Street to the northwest of the Musalla Mosque. It is named after Hz. Abu Bakr (RA) because he led the Eid prayers here during his caliphate. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also led the Eid prayers here.
Originally built by Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, the mosque was renovated by Sultan Mahmud II in 1838. After undergoing repairs in 1990, it still preserves the Ottoman architectural style and covers an area of 292 square meters.
