Masjid al-Namirah, also known as the Mosque of Repentance, is a significant mosque where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) combined the Dhuhr and Asr prayers during the Farewell Hajj. During the Farewell Pilgrimage, Prophet Muhammad established a tent on a small hill called Namirah, to the west of Arafat, and there, in an open area at the Urane Valley where the boundaries of the Haram area end, he led a combined Dhuhr and Asr prayer with over 120,000 of his companions. After leading the prayer, he proceeded to the place of Arafat’s main ritual of standing (wuquf).
A mosque was built at this location where the Prophet prayed, and it became known as Mosque of Repentance, due to its association with the prayer he led there during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
Mugammes Valley: In the pre-Islamic era, the army led by Abraha attempted to destroy the Kaaba in Mecca. Before attacking Mecca, they camped in this valley. Today, this valley is located to the right, about 5 kilometers towards the Taif road from the ninth road of Arafat’s path to Seylülkebîr, and it is known as the Green Valley.
