PLACES OF VISIT AND SACRED SITES IN MAKKAH
The beloved Prophet, who was sent as a mercy to all worlds, was born on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, which coincided with the 20th of April in the year 571 AD. This blessed event occurred in the early hours of Monday, as dawn was breaking, in Makkah. The place where he was born is now a library.

The mountain of Abu Qubays was considered a sacred place even before the advent of Islam. In Makkah, it holds significant historical and spiritual significance.
The Sacred Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Makkah is located on a hill overlooking the city, near Cennet al-Mu’alla Cemetery and approximately 2 kilometers north of the Haram al-Sharif. This revered mosque has a history dating back to early times and holds great significance for Muslims.

Muzdalifah: It is the sacred place located between Arafat and Mina within the boundaries of the Haram, where the second major ritual is performed after the Arafat sermon. Covering a total area of 963 hectares, it is marked by specific boundaries in present times.
Jabal al-Rahmah: Located on the northern side of the Arafat Plain, commonly known as the ‘Mountain of Arafah,’ this hill is composed of granite stones. It is believed to be the place where Prophet Adam (AS) and Hawwa descended to Earth.
Masjid al-Khayf, located to the south of Mount Arafat, near the first Jamarat site, is where the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) set up his tent and performed congregational prayers during his Farewell Pilgrimage.
Jabal al-Nour: Located approximately 5 km northeast of the Sacred Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Mecca, it is the mountain that includes the cave where the Prophet received his first revelation. Jabal al-Nur (Mountain of Light).
It is located 6 km from the Noble Sanctuary, within the boundaries of the sanctuary from the side of Medina, in a place called Tan’im. Hz. Aisha performed Hajj together with the Prophet during the Farewell Pilgrimage. Due to her excuse, she had not been able to perform Umrah.
Outside the boundaries of the Sanctuary (Haram), to the northwest of Mecca, located 24 km from the Masjid al-Haram, is the place now known as Shumaisi. The Pledge of Ridwan, the Treaty of Hudaibiya, was made here.
